History of Cookiebots
Hello everyone, I'm Mariana, a mechatronics engineer with a master's degree in mechanical engineering and a passion for robotics and art. I want to share with you the story of how Cookiebots was born, an adventure that began as a hobby and has become an exciting business.
After finishing my master's degree in mechanical engineering in 2019, where I did research in the area of robotics, I decided to take a break from studying. This is when Cookiebots was born...
Since I was a child, I always loved art. It was that passion that led me to discover cookie decorating as a very nice way to develop my creativity. I started with this hobby and soon discovered that I could design my own stencils for decoration, using a small plotter that I bought out of curiosity. I saw an opportunity and decided to start selling my templates. It was an immediate hit with bakers!
To expand the possibilities even further, I added 3D printers to Cookiebots. Some stencil designs could be complemented with custom cookie cutters, allowing our customers to have both the cutter and the stencil of the same design. Thus, the business began to flourish. In a way, at this moment I finally felt that I already had a little of my two passions: art and robotics.
In 2021, I pursued a dream: to live in another country and expand my knowledge in 3D printing. I moved to Barcelona to study a master's degree in Additive Manufacturing, where I learned about the latest technologies and 3D design. This inspired me to take Cookiebots to the next level. I began to transform our products to digital, so that our customers had the option of manufacturing them from their homes. I also launched an online course to teach people with no experience in 3D printing how to get started, with the goal of helping bakers save time and be more creative.
Today, Cookiebots is not only a cookie decorating store, but a community of people passionate about creativity and innovation. We want to continue growing and offering quality products that make your life easier and your creations more spectacular. Thank you for being part of this incredible adventure!
